Description The Enneagram is a powerful map of human personality that helps us understand the unconscious patterns shaping our lives. Rather than placing people in boxes, the Enneagram reveals the habitual ways we think, react, and relate to others. In this three-session series, Daniel Anear will introduce the Enneagram as a tool for deeper self-awareness, compassion, and transformation. Drawing on the contemplative approach popularized by teachers like Richard Rohr, this series explores how personality develops as a survival strategy—and how awareness of these patterns can open the door to greater freedom in our relationships and daily lives. Participants will learn: • A clear, grounded overview of the nine Enneagram types and how the system is structured • The nine types as childhood strategies for getting needs met • How these strategies become automatic and largely unconscious over time • The emotional patterns that quietly run our reactions and relationships • How to recognize and interrupt these patterns in real life Each session includes a mix of teaching and discussion. No previous knowledge of the Enneagram is required. It is recommended to attend all 3 sessions to get the most out of this series, but drop-in participants are also welcome! Session 1 — The Map (5/13) Understanding the Enneagram and the nine personality patterns Session 2 — The Trap (5/20) How personality habits shape our reactions and relationships Session 3 — The Path (5/27) Using the Enneagram as a tool for awareness and transformation Dan Anear trained and worked as a Counseling in his home country of Australia before moving with his family to the United States September 2022. He is a relationship practitioner, personality type expert, and group facilitator who helps individuals and couples develop deeper self-awareness and healthier relational patterns. His work integrates personality typology, psychology, relational dynamics, and contemplative traditions. FREE admission. No registration required.
